We use properly equipped 4×4 recovery vehicles and recovery gear designed for off-road terrain. That allows us to assist in snowy driveways, ORV trails, ditches, forest roads, and hard-to-access locations where standard towing equipment may not be practical.

Houghton Lake Off-Road Recovery is a husband and wife operation built around family, Jeeps, the outdoors, and helping people when they need it most. We are local Jeep enthusiasts who enjoy trail rides, exploring Northern Michigan, and spending time outside as a family.
More often than not, our two boys, ages 7 and 8, are along for the ride. They are growing up around Jeeps, trails, recovery gear, muddy tires, campfire stories, and the kind of work ethic that comes from helping real people in real situations. For us, this is more than just a recovery service. It is something we are building as a family.
We know what it feels like to be out on a trail, enjoying the day, and suddenly have things go sideways. Northern Michigan is beautiful, but the trails, snow, mud, sand, water holes, and seasonal roads can humble just about anyone. That is why we try to bring a calm, down-to-earth approach to every call.
